Since opening our doors in Visalia in May 2006, Gozen Japanese Restaurant has become the premiere destination for quality sushi and teppenyaki in the South Valley.

Serving as a Teppanyaki chef for two years, Chef Orn has come to enjoy being in front of the iron griddle. He gives guests a great experience and says a go-to on the menu is the teriyaki chicken dinner. Chef Orn says his co-workers make the workday go by smoothly, which makes for a great business. In his spare time, Chef Orn likes to take his dog Snoop for walks and teach him new tricks.

With over seven years experience as the Executive Chef at Gozen, Chef Sam takes pride in providing an outstanding meal for each customer. His personal recommendation? The Sashimi. A highlight for Chef Sam is the long-lasting relationship he has built with Connie and Billy while working at Gozen. In his spare time, you can catch Chef Sam playing a few rounds of golf or making a few casts at a local pond.

Having a safe and enjoyable work environment is what brings Chef Sai to Gozen each day. Serving as a sushi chef for three years, Chef Sai also recommends the OMG roll, claiming it is always a hit with the customers. If you don’t see Chef Sai at Gozen, chances are he’s out passing the volleyball around with friends.

As the head kitchen chef at Gozen for the past eight years, Chef Gabriel takes pride in knowing that people are enjoying his food preparation. What he recommends? The salmon sashimi combination dinner with tempura vegetables. Chef Gabriel likes to spend his free time catching new movies at the theater or watching old flicks at home.

Head Server & Supervisor
Serving as the head server and supervisor for the past eight years, Gabriela has exceptional customer service and communication skills. She enjoys working with the team while being able to provide an overall great experience for customers. She typically recommends the Mexican roll or, if you’re a fish lover, the tuna tataki. When she’s not serving customers, Gabriela is spending quality time with her family.
